Chef Kev’s latest endeavor centers around the creation of the Food Studio at Pittsburgh Yards in Atlanta, GA—a dynamic project aimed at fostering community, promoting plant-based nutrition, and supporting local entrepreneurs. Situated in Southwest Atlanta, the Food Studio will serve as a shared commercial kitchen, offering flexible membership options tailored to plant-based food innovators and hospitality businesses seeking production space.

Through its focus on plant-based nutrition and provision of infrastructure and entrepreneurial guidance, the Food Studio endeavors to catalyze economic empowerment while enhancing access to healthier dietary options within the target community.

This initiative represents just one facet of Chef Kev’s commitment to advancing plant-based cuisine and advocating for food justice and equity, particularly within communities of color. As a co-founder of The Urban Oak Initiative based in Atlanta, Georgia, Kevin and his team are actively engaged in addressing food access disparities in South Atlanta, including the so-called “Stadium Neighborhoods,” where fresh and nutritious food remains elusive despite the city’s broader economic prosperity.
